Are you sure I don't? Transgender wasn't a word until the mid 2000s. That's because the word was invented only then. Same with gender dysphoria which came even later.

The precursor to it was the term transexual or transsexual which was the word used to describe the behavior and was actually in the dictionary prior to the year 2000. Don't hear that word very often nowadays, I wonder why?

This might shock you, but people tend to trust an expert eye. I like royal blue, but if they think a powder blue would work better then great, go nuts. A can of paint may look nice on the can but since I'm not a painter, idk how it's going to look on siding.

And they're still going to show you that colour on a swatch so you can approve it.

Nobody is ever just trans or pro-trans, it has an inherent culture around it.

Usually a culture of respecting people for who they are and the choices they've made for their personal lives. That you want to actively avoid that says rather a lot about you, and I'm afraid none of it's good.

Perhaps because psychology has developed quite a bit in the last two decades? Medicine is not stagnant, after all.

That one person says that does NOT make it the case, FYI. I know plenty of people who are trans, and a handful of people who have DID/are multiples. None of my trans friends are multiples, but it's natural that within a DID system of mixed gender, some of the personas will experience a bit of dysphoria, unless they're also intersex. So I can see where that person or system might get that idea, but it's like... how do I put this? It's possible to be DID and trans, it's even likely that someone who has DID/is multiple will be trans, but it does NOT work the other way around. Being trans doesn't automatically dictate that someone is also multiple, and I think that's where you're tripping up.

I'm non-binary and genderqueer, but I'm in no sense or fashion a multiple system. I am just one person inside my head, at all times.

Try getting your information from more than just a couple of randomers on YouTube, and stop trying to contradict people who know the facts from personal experience.

Frankly, I'm glad that comment was deleted, because yes, Wolf, it was unequivocally hateful, inaccurate and abusive.

I'll buy the "herd immunity" argument for polio and smallpox. It's certainly much less compelling with things as ubiquitous as varieties of flu and pneumonia.

And I had to look up "skiving", I thought it probably had to do with skivvy underwear, but, no, it's slicing. And in Britain, can mean cutting school.

You know, since I mentioned class, I'd have thought you'd assume that that was the definition I was using. I'm not exactly under the radar about my nationality

I notice none trans folk seem to think they know more about it than actual trans folk and honestly seem to create more drama about it.
