It's not hard to replicate a crt on literally any display when you dick around with the scanline and filter settings. Hell, if I cared enough I could show you screenshots, let's say legend of legaia on my phone looking like anything from original PS1 on a 13" CRT, late 80s rear projection, mid 90s actual projector, or upscaled damn near to PS2 graphics and that game was painfully early, low poly, and janky looking even for a PS1 game. Same for something like Bushido Blade.
