My friend bought me a razer kraken, but unfortunately it hurts my ears a lot after just 10-25 minute use. I'm right now looking at the steel series as a good replacement for them.

Budget is $150, but not strict about it.

Open or closed? That's the first I heard of it.

The kraken razer is circle shape which was crushing my ears. So I'm thinking of getting an oval shape which may solve that problem.

Sennheiser Game Zero have been amazingly comfortable for me

I have a steelseries arctis 7, it's not bad. I used to have a corsair that I personally found more comfortable but it fell apart after a few years

I use the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 for my Xbox and it pretty much covers everything I wanted out of a headset

Open > the driver is exposed, helps audiophile stuff that is beyond me & moot to me but it can help with some comfortability at the cost of sound leaking, so loud porn will be heard. I don't kink shame.

I own the Gamer One, which is the open-back variant of the ones Aragon mentioned. Both have oval cups. I think marth is the resident audiophile, probably good to ask him.

Hey guys thanks a lot for you help. I guess I may need to get an open ear because I think the primary problem I'm getting is that I get hot ear very easily. I'm only using the headset specifically when I game with friends so I can chat with them, otherwise I just use my speakers for everything else.
