I have a lot of games in my backlog. My choices are Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag, Bastion, Bloodborne, Child of Light, Crypt of the Necrodancer, Dark Cloud 2, Dark Souls (I, II, or III), Darkest Dungeon, Diablo III, Divinity: Original Sin (I or II), Dragon Age: Inquisition, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, Dragon Quest XI, Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age, Kingdom Hearts (I, II, or III), Ni No Kuni II, NieR: Automata, Odin Sphere Leifthrasir, Persona 5, Pillars of Eternity, Tales of Berseria, Tales of Vesperia, Transistor, The Witcher 3, or Ys VIII - Lacrimosa of DANA-. Haven't played any of them before.

My personal recommendations are Divinity, Dragon Age, Dragon's Dogma, or Witcher. You can skip DOS 1 if you want but, if you've got the time, it's a decent game.
