In an attempt to keep me from drinking tea before bed, which would keep me up, my mom told me that if you drank tea before bed you'd pee the bed.

I always hated vacations. Still kinda do. The only thing close to a vacation I want nowadays is to take a cruise, a long haul kind that's like 15 days or something. And get a suite with a patio to sit and read, also to get blown on.

I never really understood how some families would go on vacations of like a week or more. My parents were always so damn broke they would just go to the lake on the weekend or something and that would be it.

By doing it once a year or so.
My family almost never did those weekend trips, so I kinda wouldn't get those. Didn't it become a drag planning for those weekends?

Now I'm older, I still feel the same way but understand it more.
I only get single weeks of vacations and having two days off in a row is a luxury. My preferred vacation is a week long day off at home :p

When I get two days off for holidays and use it to travel, it's just so stressful and barely relaxing.

Can't say there is anything in particular that I felt my father and mother tricked me on. Stuff like be mindful of your spending, watch how much sweets/junk food you eat, don't waste food, etc. I still believe in. Just having trouble acting on it.

Other stuff I probably just never believed them or ignored their warnings such as not sleeping with wet hair, walking in the rain without an umbrella, etc.
