On the handicapped accessibility issue...maybe the fact that we don't have thousands of fat people riding scooters plays into that as well. I've seen pics of US stores with multiple of those in a single pic, I've never seen a single one IRL.

I will say no AC makes sense in certain climates. I live in a place where maybe the temp hits 90f a handful of times in the summer time, but that's rare and it still drops to the 50s at night. No need for AC unless you have absolutely zero heat tolerance

Is this satire? Becaus when I went to Italy (Amalfi Coast) a few years ago and it was upper 80s or 90s every day for a week and a half, I very much wanted AC. Hotels had AC, but it only ran when you were in the room, which makes the room pretty awful when you come back.
TC acts like Europe is one country, so I act like the whole Europe is like the Northern parts.
If you cant handle the heat, then it exist ACs to buy in stores.

Only in Nordic countries where they can about rehabilitating criminals. Anywhere else it's just as bad. You don't think the UK or France have gang problems or murders or really violent crime? They sure as fuck do. Eastern European jails are worse then US Prisons as well. Go stay a day in a Gulag and tell me American Prisons are a nightmare.

I've enjoyed the European countries I've visited.

Not a complaint, but an observation: getting a glass of ice cold water or an ice cold soda can be tricky. It seems most beverages are drank at or slightly below room temperature in Europe.

I was seved a cool, but not cold can of Fanta in France. I asked for a cold can but the server said 'but Monsieur, that is a fresh can'. Long story short, I ended up with the Fanta in a tall glass and a second glass full of ice with a spoon. They suggested I spoon the ice into the soda as needed.

I had similar experiences across the continent. Chilling the soda or water until it's cold or pouring the beverage over ice cubes to make it cold seemed like a foreign idea.

I had to ask for ice in a vodka tonic in Rome and got the second glass of ice with a spoon thing again.

Not the biggest deal, but something I noticed.

Yeah, that seems to really depend on the restaurant/bar/...
If I'm not ordering a hot beverage, I want it to be ice cold. Some places will not give you ice unless specifically told. Never had to scoop it from one glass to the other though. Never had an alcoholic cocktail without ice either. I have to explicitly say I don't want ice in my whisky or they throw an entire bucket in my glass.

He's not completely wrong though.
When it comes to Belgium, most foreigner will praise Antwerp and Brussels as the go-to tourist cities here. They have architecture you won't find in the US and are usually the only 2 Belgian cities anyone can name. They see it on pictures or in movies and think "how quaint"
As a Belgian I find that hilarious as both cities are crime ridden and filthy with a general attitude of "fuck off". There are entire parts of both that quite literally reek of piss.

Discovered it accidentally but know little to nothing about the place. Looks nice enough.
I'm an American simply amused by the name. Assebroek is very close in spelling to "ass broke" which can be a colloquialism in the US.

So you have to open a window and hope it sort of cools you off, and then deal with a horde of bugs. SO CULTURED! And you know, it's funny, they mock Americans for having air conditioning, and then I see a Danish web comic maker I read saying they literally couldn't get a comic done on time because it was too hot to work in their home office. Sounds like you need some sort of device that conditions the air to a comfortable temperature and humidity level.

This feels like someone took a trip to a European country, went to a shitty neighborhood and assumed that all of Europe is like that:

-no screens in windows
Simply not true.

-no air conditioning
In most countries temperatures aren't high enough, even during summer, to warrant an air conditioning.

-bathrooms cost money to use
Public bathrooms, yes. As someone stated, to keep out drug users, etc.

-water costs money in restaurants, no refills, no ice
Pay for what you consume, how is this a strange thing?

-no clothes dryers
Blatant lie.

-no handicapped accessibility
Another blatantly.

-gas, drivers licenses are too expensive for the average person to drive
I don't drive, but it's not expensive at all. Or do people believe all are roads are for show?

-taxes for radios and tvs
Taxes apply to everything, so why would TVs and radios be exempt?

-everything in constant disrepair
Again, I am assuming someone went to a shitty neighborhood and assumed all of Europe is like that.

-toilets dont use suction
Nope, and they are far superior because of it.

-can be jailed for saying something offensive
LOL UK, this is why they are no longer part of the EU.

This basically fits most of Asia perfectly. The no screens on windows blows me away. So many mosquitoes around for the vast majority of the year. I want fresh air in my house, I want to leave my windows open. In my Chinese apartment, we bought cheap screens to put over the window. My house in Thailand (where I'm currently residing due to the coronavirus) would cost me about $2,000 to get screens installed (maybe more, my house has a lot of windows and 3 separate sliding glass doors).

What got me about Asia, or at least Japan when I was living there was that the notion of insulation and central air conditioning and heating a home or apartment is sometimes alien. They'll heat or cool a room or two and everyone gathers in those places but the rest of the house is either a blast furnace or a meatlocker.

The temperature in offices, hotels, etc. is more like what an American or Canadian would expect however.
