Beta male let's others walk on him and doesn't assert himself above other men when pursuing a woman. Doesn't try to appear confident or manly. Incel may be socially awkward or trying to date way out of his league with little or no prior experience. When their expectation gets denied they usually either sulk or lash out at the woman. Beta: Too timid and afraid to engage with women. I don't think this ones works that well, though, since it's usually bandied about with the weird 4chan idea of "Alpha Males" (See contemporary: "Chad") being superior, usually involving some bizarre "Masculine" standards including lifting weights and not having hobbies or education basically. Incel: Involuntary celibate.
