While i Def prefer the Eagles overall, the Blue Lions route was great as well, and I now feel a lot worse for killing them off last playthrough. Edelgard still did nothing wrong though, my favorite Three Houses character, and probably my favorite FE character period. Didn't think much of Dedue before this playthrough, but i like him more than any non-Edelgard TH character. Will never feel bad for killing the psychopaths that are Jertiza, and Hubert, despite how useful they were in Edelgard's route. Married Dorthea this time around, other than the lions, she, Shamir, and Catherine were my main party. Recruited every single black Eagle so i wouldn't have to kill them.
Gonna play as female Byleth for Golden Deer, just got the DLC too. and lmfao Dimitri was initially so fucking dark and edgy after the time skip.

oh and Edelgard's reaction to seeing me post-time skip, thinking i had died, and me proposing to her, all made everything worth it. I'D DO IT AGAIN, i'd just feel worse about it this time! Oh and i'd recruit all the lions and also Shamir to save as many as I could. Still gotta kill my boy Dedue ;_;

It's funny, I've only played through Azure Moon and Verdant Wind so far, but I can't see Edelgard as in the right because of it. Besides the fact that she's working with the most blatantly antagonistic force in the game, once Super Byleth awakens, Rhea seemed super okay with stepping down and putting Byleth at the head of the church. It sounds like she only keeps the throne in Crimson Flower once Byleth him/herself leaves.

beat the Ashen Wolves a couple day ago

felt like it got worse as it went, final boss was so fucking tedious, 4 damage here, 6 damage there, so boring.

just beat chapter 10 for Golden Deer really going overboard this time 19 units at level 25

unpopular opinion, Hilda is insufferable, just so selfish, manipulative and awful, it's like you turned Dorthea's superficiality to 10 and then took out her many good traits. Poor Marianne so sweet and sad and lacking confidence and Hilda uses her to clean. Lorenz sucks too, probably my 2 least favorite students of the original 24. At least they're both very useful in battle.

The Blue Lions route starts off strong, but the post timeskip is easily the weakest route.

The route completely ignores the world and focuses solely on Dimitri who for half the timeskip may as well not even be a unit as you can do nothing with him besides deploy him in battles. TWSITD are never brought up or dealt with.

Plus the whole redemption arc Dimitri goes through feels so half-assed that I believe the writers realize they couldn't write an insane character people would like so they did an 180 switch.

those are two completely different things

and Yes angsty psycho dimitri was awful, amazing unit though, Edelgard really struggled for a while post timeskip, shit accuracy, never doubled, got doubled all the time, Dimitri is the best unit i've used other than Byleth, sky high hp, fantastic strength, and defense, good speed and dex

My love for Edelgard aside, Claude is far and away the most interesting of the main 3.

Also seems to be the smartest and most ethical
playing as Female Byleth and gonna tie that boy down

Dimitri literally spends 5 years murdering people for no reason. Dimitri fanboys really are the worst part of this fanbase. They love to ignore every shitty thing about Dimitri just to hate on Edelgard. I firmly believed they have only played BL.

Edelgard's route didn't show him to a fucking psycho like his own route did, Claude comes off well in every single route. Dedue is my boy and deserves better than Dimitri, amazing gameplay wise, but def the worst of the 3

at chapter 14 of Deer so no spoilers beyond that

really disappointed how this is almost exactly like the lions so far

I love the game but the having to replay so many missions is a huge flaw

Well, there are people that like those kinds of people irl too. I guess theres a kind of charisma there that some people are drawn to. They could also be attracted to her.

Rhea only turns evil on CF. Otherwise she's just arrogant. Byleth turning against he makes her insane.

She's 100% justified in her hatred of Edelgard for what she did in the holy tomb. You'll understand by the end of Verdant Wind.

Yeah, it gets really tedious but its kind of understandable with the amount of routes there are. Making each run a harder difficulty helps alleviate it. Or make a run a speedrun.

It sure as a pain in the ass to try and pair other people up

tried to pair Shamir and Raphael and Leonie and Ignatz

instead we got Leonie and Shamir and Rapahel and Ignatz

Feels like the closest thing to the real ending in some ways.

But i just re-watches the cutscene of Edelgard and Byleth taking down Rhea, and him asking her to marry her.

And i'm still partial to that

Is the Black Eagle church route even worth it? almost 180 hours total doing the three different houses
