I probably sank the most time into the original Animal Crossing for Gamecube since I had the time as a kid, but I think New Leaf is my favorite. It's just so polished and improved on the series so much. It's definitely not perfect, but I think it's a stellar game nonetheless. Being able to go to Tortimer Island and catch all those rare summer fish and bugs is really convenient when it comes to both making money AND catching things off season. I can't even begin to describe how lifesaving the Keep the Town Beautiful Ordinance is. I mean, I don't have time to water all those flowers, especially when I stop playing for months and months at a time. The addition of pants/skirts, socks, and shoes is a really nice touch, too. I'm not gonna lie, I wasn't too happy with the suddenly taller player design and model in the beginning, but I see why it

I need New Horizons bad. New Leaf was the best, but I sunk countless hours into Wild World

I have it on the gamecube but I never really got into it. Wild World and New Leaf are my favourites, for me it's a series best played on a handheld. I'm really looking forward to New Horizons, slightly worried it might be influenced by Pocket Camp but I'm sure it'll still be good.

Pocket Camp is an abomination

I like new leaf amiibo version, I used to go to McDonalds and got a full HH showcase and now I'm using ore to create new furniture and someday will get some amiibo cards, I want a full museum sigh so good in 3D.

I have poured so many hours into the Gamecube original, and City Folk. I own Wild World but surprisingly I've only played about 6 hours or so. I'd love to play New Horizons but I have yet to buy a Switch.

As for my favorite that has to go to the original. It just had so much more depth than CF. City Folk is great in itself. I can still remember nights, full moon, running around the town catching every beetle in sight and selling at Nook's on his late shift. and I made so many designs.







but yeah the original is still my favorite. So much you could see and do in that game. I loved going around and meeting everyone, and seeing surprise appearances. You didn't have to water flowers. Copper's police station, the dump, and much more. Different bridge variations. 3 tier towns, and the music was amazing. Makes me want to play it right now.

new leaf. the gamecube one was great and definitely was really unique and great. would be cool to play the 64 one if they ever translate it and put it on the store. never played the ds one. never even really knew about it and i was pretty big into the DS and still play them. think by time i found out about it the 3ds was on the way so i never bothered.

Played a ton on Gamecube, Wii didn't get a ton of time, DS got a shitload more, never played the 3DS. DS probably takes the cake for me, but I imagine I probably would have liked the 3DS version better.

Wild World was the first I played and the one I put the most hours into. While New Leaf made many new great and interesting changes I still rate it slightly lower than WW as the addition of the island made it too easy to earn good money and to catch previously rare fish.
