80% of what I drink. I only drink bottled when I leave the house. Keep em by the door to grab on the way out. I let my company drink bottled water too. I gotta floss on em.

My city has some of the best tap water in the state and everyone else in my family refuses to drink it, opting instead for bottled water from the municipal source two towns over in a city we used to live in where they all bitched about the fucking water.

I even got a fucking filter and they cry.

Long Island tap water is pretty damn tasty.

Though my family takes a trip to Florida every 2 years, and the hotel's water literally has sulfur in it. Nasty.

I drink tap, usually filtered through a fridge or a Brita if I have to. Our local tap is fine as is though. Water snobs are gross, and fluoride conspiracy theorists are even worse.

I legit feel for people living off well water though, or those who have shitty public water. Well water particularly can taste funny, even with the right treatment equipment in place. Plus sometimes it just comes out a strange rusty color depending on the minerals in it, and that's off putting lol

My tap water is fine but it's the "taste" that is so outputting. I need to use a filter to get over it.

I think it's a question of taste. I drank a ton of bottled water during my college years because the water smelled and tasted so weird it was actually hard to swallow. Sometimes it did taste. Even if you could get past the taste and smell, there was always a lot of dirt or minerals or something in it which was gross too.

I currently live in the middle of nowhere and enjoy access to pristine, delicious water, but the next time I live in a city, a filter will be a necessity.

@Garioshi
Is your water polluted or something?
I always refused to drink tap water where I lived and everyone always made fun of me. I would even buy gallon waters for cooking, and making drinks. I saw how stupid everyone was and how many people got cancer, and the water always tasted weird and always had whiteand black shit in it.

Like 2 years ago they were legally required to send out a memo that their water failed Lead and Pesticide Chemical requirements for the last like 40 years, and were being fined for not complying and telling everyone.

So feel free to make fun of people like me. But I got the last laugh.

I live in the Atlanta area, our tap water is perfectly safe and tastes just fine.

I drink it.

Also, in blind taste tests, most people can't tell the difference between tap water from a literal garden hose versus bottled water. In fact, being told lies about the water can cause them to taste differences between two bottles with different labels, despite both being filled at the same time from the exact same garden hose. <_<
Reminds me of this lol

I like reverse osmosis or distilled. I buy gallon jugs at minimum though, never the single serve bottled waters.

Even ignoring all the potential arguments that could be had over what chemicals are added and which ones aren't removed in municipal supplies, the fact of the matter is that the majority of the infrastructure used to deliver the water is extremely old and potentially leeching unsafe amounts of heavy metals into the supply. Late last year there was news story about how thousands of water samples were tested across Canada and all showed high levels of lead were present.

I don't even know that there's a truly safe source of water out there tbh. >_> Even buying jugs of R/O or distilled, I'm still getting fucked up with microplastics and whatever else if their processes aren't 100% clean and efficient.
