...the other day and I am loving it.

While I've played it all before through the Arkham series this game still feels fresh. I'm about 35% through the plot of the main story and I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

The game play is done really well, swinging with web and flying around NYC is so much more fun than Bat grappling through Arkham, especially when I stumble upon landmarks that I know, the detail is incredible.

So far I give it a 9/10.

Last night I played for a while and after an hour realized I'd just been swinging around the city looking for cool little gems.

I thought the overabundant sidequests sucked the fun out of the game. Wish I'd stuck to the main story more when I played it.

Like any game the "fetch quests" eventually get a little boring or rather repetitive, but the amazing environment you get to play through to compete them I think makes up for it, plus the 50 hidden photo spots really gives it more purpose since you really need to always be on the lookout for something interesting.

Wow did you not like the Arkham gliding? Especially in Knight I thought those games had awesome movement. Not that I'd disagree that Spider-Man is even more incredible!

I got the full version that came with the dlc, I was sorta hoping it would inject itself into the main game but I see its post game episodes which I imagine will feel lackluster after 100%ing the main game.

I think it's the fact that it's so disconnected from the rest of the game. If they could have found a way to interweave it into the main game, I think it would've worked better.

Oh no, I loved it. I think the game play of the arkham series was groundbreaking with its open world and ways to travel through. I just feel like Spiderman does it better and also the traveling through a place I know intimately of course.

This is probably the reason, although generally speaking I don't always find that to be the case in other games. I think the very open-world nature of the game does feel counterintuitive to the episode structure of the DLC.

In any event, I'm looking forward to Spider-Man 2! I do hope they don't go the "kill Peter" route which feels a little telegraphed as the direction they'll push.

Was a great game. MJ controlling parts and Miles somewhat were the only weak parts. Though I question the convenience in some parts of the plot

I am also going for the platinum since it's not too tough or time consuming, already done act 2 and most side quests so far
