The idea of quid pro qo is talking about Biden's son connection with Burisma would hurt Biden's candidacy.

The impeachment ironically put this info out to the public more than if Ukraine President actually did his announcement.

And now Biden is on the bottom of the polls.

Did it work?

No. I think what we're really seeing is just more liberal complacency. The Gen X and boomers who are the most likely to stay home and not vote even though they can continue to vote in online polls supporting Biden but can't be arsed to actually Caucus for him.

The younger crowd is much more enthusiastic about voting and they showed up in force for the real leftists.

More likely that Sanders' attacks on his social security record played a role. Biden's backers were Clinton supporters in 2016; it takes a lot more than vague accusations of foreign corruption to sway their views of Democratic candidates.
