I have heard people say the reason we got computers and stuff is cause of the Roswell crash. They even go as far as to say smart phones and stuff is all alien tech slowly leaked to the public.

Kinda makes you think they don't want to give Charles Babbage and Ada Lovelace credit.

A lot of the "ancient astronaut theories" only exist because people underestimate the ingenuity and capabilities of ancient humans.

They had roughly the same brains that we have now. They could look at, and solve, problems in exactly the same ways that we can. Mathematicians have been inventing theorems and devising new formulas for thousands of years.

Modern man isn't even special. We just have a lot of accomplishments from previous generations to build from, and a sophisticated system of education and communication to deliver that knowledge and experience to subsequent generations--systems that were also devised and refined over time by humans who lived long before we did.
