Is a multi blade razor bad for necks? I use a 5 blade Gillette Fusion ProGlide.
Every damn time I end up getting a few cuts and some wicked razor burn. I don't remember having this issue when I was younger but I only used those disposable single blade yellow Bic razors back then --- "I like turtles" ... Copied to Clipboard!

I got that blade. It sucked right out of the box, like they forgot to actually make blades out of the metal. 4 blade worked as normal though.

I only shave my face with a fresh razor. Wash my face before shaving with soap and uses plenty of shaving cream.

I use a Gilette 5 blade. I stopped because I thought it was fucking with my skin.
I fixed it by 1) changing from a gel to a foam (I wet the foam then apply, I'm not sure it's really any different from gel) 2) I made sure to smooth all the hairs downward after I applied the foam. Before, I'd do a really intense scrub to get the suds in, but without smoothing it down, the result was creating a bunch of hairs everywhere pointing up and right and left that fought with the razor. I use a nice electric, but if I really want the smooth no hair at all, I'll follow it up with that same fusion pro glide. Don't go against the grain on the first pass
