Probably not. What else can we find in fiction?

This topic has let me know that I know absolutely nothing about the plot in Phantom of the Opera.

I mean, this video isn't strictly about the Phantom being an incel, but it does give an overview of the original novel/serial, notes on a ton of adaptations and Lindsay Ellis is a huge Phantom mark so she obviously enjoys the subject. The main subject is a Persian character from the original novel that is either removed or replaced in future adaptations, with the irony being that he's treated pretty well in the original work and treated like a "weird foreigner" in adaptations.

Anyway, I enjoyed watching it, so I'm sharing:

Woman love creepy Weirdos.

The Phantom, Edward , Kylo . These people act like your stereotypical incel, since since they look good women love them and defend their asshole like actions .

No, though much like the latest Joker, he's definitely the kind of character incels love to think they're like. That particular archetypeis also far older, though: even Hephaestus could be argued to fit the "what incels imagine themselves be" vibe.

The original incel is probably that guy who carved the graffiti in ancient Pompeii that translates to "Weep, you ladies, for my penis has given you up. Now it penetrates men's behinds. Goodbye, wondrous femininity!" Now that's what we call a pro incel move.

how is he not an incel, he is a creepy sewer dweller, who kidnaps a girl, helps her with an issue, then when she does not love him back he swear revenge. In the mind while he wrights edge music that he thinks no one else would full understand. All while hating the cute jock she the girl is dating .

Erik was Persian in the novel?

It's probably for the best that he's made a white guy in the movies so as not to play into the "Arabs are rapists" stereotype.

My old piano teacher was the original pianist for the first performances of the broadway play. She taught me how to play it but Ive unfortunately lost it from my mind.
