However, they don't really know the person (whether or not he was actually a rapist for example, which most people would excuse considering his fame). If that helicopter was just random people literally nobody would care (you get what I mean). People die, life moves on. Somebody like Kobe dies, the world stops for the entire day. In addition, let's be honest... it's all about Kobe and his daughter... like can we even name the other people involved without researching it? All good questions relating to the level of attachment one can feel for a complete stranger (specifically a celebrity). The level of attachment is fascinating to me, I don't think this level of attachment would occur for the no-name pilot. I don't think I personally attacked Kobe, but yet here we are.
