Eminem's fast rapping is a stale sound. I've never been the biggest Eminem fan since his shit was jammed down my throat by a drunk parent and pretty much everyone in my childhood, but I can appreciate his older stuff to a degree. And he's always had fast bars, like in Without Me, but this motor mouth shit just isn't vibing with me. Juice Wrld's chorus has some corny lyrics, but I can vibe with his voice and I like how his rapping is a distinct break from Eminem's verses.

But man, give me that beat. It's big, it's bouncy and it's fun. If someone doesn't do a remix, or like freestyle over it or something, I'm gonna be big mad. That beat needs better material.

I am a total rap noob and I don't know any of these artists. All I know is what sounds good to me.

I appreciate the recs, but I'm not vibing with any of these guys. I can respect it, but I'm not really digging it.

I dunno. I was on a JPEGMAFIA kick last year where I got a lot of mileage out of Drake Era, Black Moses and Awake (thanks Spotify shuffle play), I really dig King Kunta from Kendrick Lamar and there's a 3005 remix from Childish Gambino that I like.

https://youtu.be/wfTv2WZZMpU

And as if I'm not enough of a normie, I really dig the chill vibe of the DJ Khaled song I'm The One. Like Justin Bieber is a little dipshit, but I dig that simple beat and it's just a light and breezy summer track.

Rap isn't usually my bag, I tend to chill with like The Weakerthans, King Gizzard or The Bennies - so like chill indie folk rock, Gizz's more hard sort of stuff like Nonagon Infinity, or Australian party rock. But I can dig a good beat, which I think Godzilla has. The only issue is that whatever Eminem is doing in that track just devalues the whole thing for me, it doesn't sound good.

The reason the beat is so good is because it's sampled the original Godzilla theme

That's why it's called Godzilla

Well that's what I think anyway

it's been a while since I've listened to him, but Saul Williams' stuff has a good balance between rap & rock

and I know you already said Kendrick, but this is probably one of my favorite songs of his just because it's cool to vibe with

They are two or my favorites. I was just listening to the Children Of The Corn album with Big L, Mase, Camron, McGruff and Bloodshed

You ever listen to Little Brother?
