So far I like the Flint+Hokuto Bow with Swarm grenades

I just realized that you can go back and play old builds.
I'm tempted to go back and play some 0.3. That was the update that I really enjoyed iirc.
Back when the best strat was just to go full red build and one shot everything.

I'm a big fan of the heavy crossbow, at least on lower difficulties. Being stuck in place while it fires makes it a lot less useful against anything it doesn't one-shot.

Back when I played it a lot, the lightning whip.
Pretty sure it got nerfed to hell (for good reason) though.

Not sure if I'm playing poorly and just need to 'git gud', but I can't get very far on 2cell

I can't tell if the Hokuto Bow boosts DoT damage, since the enemies I can safely test on die really quickly and I don't have any DoTs that last more than 3 seconds

I was only able to clear the first difficulty, Is that one cell or zero?
I can make decent progress on the second difficulty mode, just kinda burned out mainly playing in early access.

Far as I can tell, it adds to each stack of the DoT's on there, though it wouldn't surprise me if there was some scaling factor applied to keep that in check. I've had great fun with DoT-focused builds that use it because everything just melts.

Survival and balanced builds have always worked out the best for me.

Once you hit 5 or so in all then you should go for a specific trait imo. Before then that's just how you maximize you hp. After that the balanced hp buffs aren't really work it.

ugh when I eventually own the game, how am I suppose to know what builds were good when?
