So you are for deportation? Ok we agree on something. I wish it were handled smoother as well, I dont like people being locked up. Thats why we need to secure the border so they cant flood in here and cause this crisis we have to clean up. Where there are like no good options really. The open border is what allowed this fiasco to happen. I did. I mentioned bonds so they don't crowd up the camps and expedited deportation so they don't crowd up the camps. Obama's holding times were much less and also he was more efficient at deportation.

That said, with inflation millions of times higher than normal, a slight increase such as that will NOT change over night.

Webby, the media has shifted public opinion so now theres more outcry against detainment and deportation. It makes local and state leaders less likely to cooperate, and they have also enacted laws 'protecting immigrants' that make it more time consuming to get them out. This was less common under Obama, but it gained traction due to his successful deportation policies. Now DJT has inherited a shitshow.

Why are they being detained longer? Because theyre being challenged in court by immigrant rights groups that protest the deportations. So while theyre fighting for immigrants to remain, they end up getting stuck in jail longer because the Trump administration doesnt wana let them go. The whole situation has turned into a bureaucratic nightmare.

Obama prioritized deporting the newest arrived (thus least to lose) and violent/dangerous criminals. And he was right about that. Trump is trying to deport everyone and its a clusterfuck. Its extremely divisive and ugly, and tbh bro? After browsing some of the conditions in those holding centers? I would not be opposed to bonds either. I feel bad for those people and im mad the border has been left undefended so long it got to this point.

We have our boys fighting to defend Iraq, when they should be on the southern border defending us. For everyones sake, because this mass illegal immigration is unsustainable, dangerous, and a message needs to be sent.

I'll have no misplaced confidence. Bernie is what's best for America atm, but you dont always get what's best for you
