Like, if you're running around with your sword sheathed, the A button prompt will say "Attack", even though the roll does no damage.

Attack also happens to be the Japanese word for roll, they just forgot to translate that part.

maybe it was laziness on programmers to not have a separate icon for the jump attack, or maybe the word in japanese means something more like maneuver or technique to where it fits both rolling and jump attack nicely
