I did play 2. It's my 5th worst FF game. That order being(in reverse) 12>15>13-1>3>2. I give more leniency to 2 than the others as it was the second made. But 12 had no excuses. They had a fully fleshed out world which looked gorgeous but the story was non-existent, characters essential to the story were mentioned once, and other characters were introduced in the wrong order. Not to mention that they kept that stupid airship select a zone, instead of a 9 style world map.

ff2 isn't that bad

Just know 3 things, fight every battle, stick to one set of weapons, and dont deviate from where the story says you should go

With this your characters get as strong as they need to without need for grinding

I played the gba version and loved it

People go go into it expect to have a sphere grid to max out or whatever but no

I made maria a monk by moving her to the front row and taking away her weapons. She ended up having the 2nd highest hp in my party

Its a really easy and intuitive game once you separate it from the others completely understand thst its different

Fire Emblem is the hardest series ever made. They're fun as hell until the tutorial ends and they turn into endless resets.

Battle Network is easily the worst Mega Man series.

Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga was abysmal.

Super Mario Bros is one of the hardest games on the NES.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for NES really wasn't that hard, and the dam level was actually pretty easy.

Zelda 1 is an abomination, and OoT isn't much better. Adventure of Link was actually pretty legit.

Ace Combat 5, Top Gear and Rescue the Embassy Mission are by far the most underrated games ever.

FF7 looks fine graphically.

There are many games that are way harder than F-Zero GX.

F-Zero, Kirby and Metroid are the best Nintendo series.

Pokemon is and has always been designed as a total scam.

1 is the best MGS and 3 is the worst (still a great game though)

Arkham Origins and Ass Creed 3 were great games despite a few minor issues.

3D Land is the best Mario platformer, and the only playable 3D one.

Crash >> Mario

3D Sonic games are usually fun as hell, and the 2D ones were mostly straight-up garbage.

The average modern video game is at least 70% useless filler by playtime and it pisses me off.

Not every game needs loads of RPG mechanics.

We would do well to respecialize video game machines. We don't need to have youtube and facebook and netflix on everything that hooks up to a screeen, and we definitely don't need to spawn a hundred background processes and use virtual memory unpredictably screwing up our framerates.

DLC is great and largely replaced actually problematic practices like exclusive content in a full MSRP rerelease or enhanced port.

Ive never played Dark Souls 2 and I never will, even though I love ds. When people say its the best, I assume they are stupid and also a pussy.

Bloodborne PvP is fun.

Witcher 3 came with my ps4 and I wont play that piece of crap.

Square Enix sucks. Squaresoft never should have merged, their games graphics are nice and everything else is shit. They ruined the ff series.

I'm a playstation snob and I dont know how it happened or why. Actually I think it was because my step uncle was really good with computers and he modded our Playstation so it could play burned games. So we could rent a game, he would burn it, and then it was ours. And my cousin worked at Hollywood Video, so I basically had unlimited access to awesome psx games. And ive never looked back. Id rather read a book than play anything by Nintendo. Xbox used to be incredible back in the day with Xbox Live, I will give them that. Halo was top tier. But if someone gave me an Xbox, I would pawn that shit before id ever play it.

Well, your Square Enix thought is one that many of us have had. Enix bought out Square from what I remember hearing. It's benefited Dragon Quest, not so much Final Fantasy.

Farcry 3 is the definition of a 6/10. It is one of the most generic games I've ever played and absolutely nothing stands out about it. Farcry 2 is still the best in the series by a country mile and the fact we'll never get another one makes me wanna break stuff.

Oh man I also don't get why Far Cry 3 is so popular. The story makes no sense, the quests are absurd (for their length and their writing) and the earlier and later games are all better than it.

Playing the GBA version is why it wasn't that bad. I played the PS1 FF Origins version and after spending hours grinding, my party was doing 0 damage to a ogre on the dreadnought.

i think the original re2 is leaps and bounds better than the remake

bethesda hasnt made a good game since morrowind

doom 2016 is super overrated and its soundtrack is very generic

They had to be bought out to survive. IIRC they took a substantial loss from the Final Fantasy movie "The Spirits Within" and would have gone bankrupt if not for the merger.

Spec Ops The Line is a hilariusly bad game. It's babbies first deep game and the amateur writing does a poor job at even that. The meta store meme that evolved afterwards is even worse. Any argument that only involves "If you don't like it you just don't get it" and " turning the game off is a valid gameplay option" is a horseshit argument to begin with. Even if the story was decent the abysmal gameplay drags it right back down.

Bethesda is the best game publisher in the industry. People just like to bitch and moan about Fallout 76 a year after we should have just forgotten about it. People also like to pretend like they never liked BGS games to begin with. Even with BGS you still can't ignore the amazing stuff like Wolfenstein, Doom, Prey, Dishonored, Rage 2, and The Evil Within. Bethesda consistently publishes some of the best games on the market.

Japanese games suck because they overload them with minute details that dont matter. Their RPGs are absolute garbage.

These are all people that exist in the real world and making every main character a straight white male is just pandering to straight white male gamers. Definitely agree. Platformers should be My First Indie Game not something people make multi-million dollar careers out of. It's a whole industry fueled by nostalgia and Both sides need to cool it.

FFXIII-2 is one of the best in the series and gets a bad shake because FFXIII left such a bad taste in everyone's mouth.

The newer Animal Crossing games give the player too much control over their town and who lives in it.

Metroid Prime 2 Echoes was a good game and almost as good as 1, and the dark world gimmick was sick.

I kind of agree but I still loved New Leaf and I'm hyped for New Horizons. Wild World was the best game.

Souls games have bad clunky combat that people force themselves to like.

The Witcher 3 had great combat (no idea why this is controversial but it seems to be)
