Generally yes. A GED is still obtainable and it's possible to attend certain schools like community colleges without a degree to begin with, but specifically a high school degree will probably not work.

GED(General Development Education) Diploma is the same as a high school diploma. Except the acquisition methods are different. I took the GED exams and got a GED Diploma because from where I am, 22-years old is the oldest(makes sense, yeah?) you can be at one of my local high schools that I used to go to.

Though...there is a perk to staying in high school, and maintaining a high GPA. And that is many free scholarship opportunities that pays off for college. You can still get scholarship opportunities even if you didn't finish high school, but the acquisition methods are different and often have you to write boring essays.
