Fruits and veggies are fairly cheap. Just don't go for the fancy stuff.

If you stay away from drugs, gambling, and stick to your own race then prison would be the cheapest, as long as you are ok with a little violence

Redacted. Although honestly a single pack was like 39 cents and I live in Hawaii. A couple here and there won't be too bad for you :3

Got a Costco membership? Frozen chicken beasts and frozen veggies will last a long time for a very low price per meal. Add in some fresh potatoes or something here and there to keep it from getting boring

Also you can't go wrong with canned beans, one can should be enough for two or even three meals worth

What I am doing (price in Singapore dollars):
  • 3 KG of chicken breast: 21.6$
  • 1 KG of brown rice: 2.2$
  • 1 KG frozen mixed veg: 4$
Poach chicken, cook rice. Throw 100g of chicken breast, 100g brown rice, 50g mixed veg in a lunchbox. This makes 21 meals. Use whatever sauce you like.

Is it boring? Very, but it's also cheap, healthy and took me like 3 hours per week to make, and most of it is just waiting.
