A similar phenomena has also appeared within female fandoms of certain fictional series with male protagonists including comics. There are literally women who have fetishes for fantasizing about Superman, Batman, Spider-man, etc. Just look at the fanfics. Like I'm not shaming anyone for that; people are into what they like. I'm just saying I for one am not surprised there's some women who were prefer Bond stay a seductive "alpha male" cliche.
