I'm breezing through this game like nothing and the gameplay is so dull and mundane that I end up getting more enjoyment just having the characters do autobattle then actually playing it. The bosses are push overs (except for that squid boss, he was the only fun I had in the game), the music for the field and towns are all too jumpy and the same, and the story is so generic. Like the only good thing I like about this game are the graphics (the enemies are highly animated which I like), the crafting minigame (probably the only new concept I haven't seen done in other JRPG's I played), and Slyvando (he's a lot of fun as a character). Luckily my friend bought this game for me when it was on sale because I won't feel bad if I drop the game. Unlike Octopath Traveler that tried to do new things, this game just feels safe and boring.

I really should have myself. I expected it to be on par with 8 in terms of ramping difficulty but so far it's not.

Sylvando is wonderful though.

Are you playing on Hard? The story itself won't get much better until you get all the Dragon Balls.

never, dq11 is one of the worst entries of the series, and possibly of all time

I was just about to start this game and now your topic worried me. I didn't need this in my head lol. I feel like I just caught a stray from a gun that wasn't even aware it was shooting.

Its probably one of the worst entries in the Dragon Quest series. Just be like everyone else and play it one hour before bed. Otherwise, youll go mad.

it has like 7 options you can enable to make your game harder. The main one makes the enemies stronger. They go from a joke to genuinely challenging and will rough you up especially in act 3.

Playing with all the draconian options is nightmarish.

The people trash talking this game are wrong, it's the best jrpg in a long time. Though I agree that the soundtrack is pretty bad. At least on switch it's better.

I enjoy it decently enough. Stronger enemies option makes it more difficult.

Love the graphics for a turn rpg. Enemies are so fun to destroy and have so much character.

Granted, I just started Act 2, but had a few month break near the end of act 1
