65 is pretty comfy but I don't mind going down to 60 with some warm pajamas

Summer time I just let it warm up to whatever temperature because our summers are super mild

I run cool and that's where it has to be for me to be comfy barefoot in my undies

That's freezing tho

I had my AC break in my apartment once and I couldn't be assed to get maintenance out to fix it and the temperature stayed a nice 75-79 for the longest.

Though I just like it to be warm

Room temperature is typically about 72, I like it a bit warmer so I'd say 74. What kind of monsters set it to anything less than 70

Well where I live the summers have average highs in the 70s, 80s at most. So typically I'm never running the AC. The winters get chilly so I usually set the heaters to 65 or maybe 70.

I was in El Paso at the time so the average outside temp was 85+ in the summer.

75 for me

There's no such thing as too hot, imo. Only reason I don't go higher is because the heating bill would get out of hand. To be honest, I'm comfortable when it's so hot I'm sweating just sitting on the couch watching TV.

Brutally cold.

But the question is ideal temp, as in what would you set it to in ideal circumstances (not worrying about money, maintenance, or outside temp)

My house varies from 60-68 in the winter, but only because of my wife. If it was just me, I would just about never turn the heat on, and just let it be 55-60. With a sweater and sweatpants, that's a perfectly comfortable temperature for me. I'd probably only turn it on to shower.

In the summer, I try to cool the house to 76-78 but sometimes it's not possible because it's too hot outside and the air conditioner just isn't strong enough to keep it that cool.

If I'm just awake and watching TV or doing whatever, 72 is ideal.

In my life experience of room temperatures, 72 is about the highest and 68 would be the normal lowest but I've lived with people who kept it colder.

Honestly thought I was just weird, liking it warm

True, true

I'd say if I had to pick a single ideal temp then 68 would be perfectly comfortable for me.

I run very hot, so my perfect temperature is probably about 62. I've never understood people warming their homes so much. 68 with the heat blowing and I'm sweating, even in summer clothes and just sitting around. But I do know I am the weird one in that regard.

Winter 68 or so
Summer 75 or so

Difference is mostly the amount of clothes I'm wearing when I'm at home. Plus, I don't want my electric bill to go insane, so I don't crank the heat or AC too much.

I legit honestly do not know how so many people can be cold all the time. Like, I see people indoors having sweaters on. THAT is why you're so cold all the time. Like, I don't really know how to explain it, but if you sweat you die.

Example. If you're about to be outside all day in really cold weather, then don't wear your coat in the car while you're going there. That will only make you colder once you get out of the car. If you wait until you get out to put your jacket on, wait until your cold, then it's much better

When we go hunting we always drive to the location with the windows down so we're colder in the car then we are when we get out to go hunting

When the weather forecast says its 16c to 20c I'm comfortable.

But in the winter, the thermostat in my room says its 25c. It must be some kinda actual temp and feels like temp thing going on.

Because when I visit Asian countries. I start to feel uncomfortable past 20c. Maybe humidity affects a lot of it.

25C with humidity is awful

25C with no humidity is blissful.
