On the one hand, I'm really motivated to stick with it this time. It's my first week going back, and I don't want the ball to catch a snag this early. Not a New Years resolution, but I was busy during the holidays so ending my hiatus right after New Years just happened.

On the other hand, it might be selfish for me to go, because i know I'm contagious (dude at work passed it on to me). It seems to just be a common cold, and it's not affecting me very badly, so I feel well enough to go, if I decide not to give a fuck about my germs being spread to other people.

No, just wait. Being active does help a cold, but it's best to stick to basic calisthenics for that. Don't risk doing anything strenuous no matter how good you think you feel.

You're not going to lose any progress if you skip a week or so. Resting may actually help your progress the next time you go back.

I get that stuff. I'm more worried about losing motivation, though.

Just rest. Don't get the whole gym sick when you're not going to be exercising at full power anyway.
