Just ordered 50 cards for a lightsworn deck. Picked out everything near mint, got the highest rarity within good value and everything came out to about $21~ total. What in the fuuuuuuu

Yeah! I know it's not meta any more and can be countered pretty easily but its such a fun and simple deck to play and probably the deck I have most experience with ever. The deck I ordered is prolly outdated as I don't have knowledge of all the new cards that came out over the years but if ya guys wanna help me out that's cool too :p

Oh, if you don't mind zombie support, look up the Shiranui Solitaire/Uni-Zombie combo. There was recently a zombie structure deck, so tons of zombie support cards are super cheap now.

I did have fun with zombies a while back so I'll consider it. Trying to look at the price for a blue eyes deck and...it's considerably more pricy than the lightsworn lol

What effects does it has?

---

The first effect sends three cards from your deck to the GY. Then, if any were Lightsworn monsters, you can draw that many cards.

The second is triggered if its destroyed. You send three cards from your top of your deck to the GY, and if any are Lightsworn, you can destroy that many cards on the field.

lol yeah BE decks are stupid. Alternative and Bingo Machine are both well over 20 dollars a piece. Zombies is good and fun and cheap though. I have one of those. Synergizes well with triple super poly

Yea I own a blue eyes deck and bought all the support cards that came out for it over the past couple years i spent over $1000 ok the cards but their alot cheaper now. Blue eyes is very fun to play not sure it's to good in this new format though I quit ygo when links started.

Actually ordering some twilightsworn cards too to sidedeck and catch my cousins off guard lol

Also looked up a dark magician deck and even that runs up to $120+. Yeesh

Pretty sure yugioh is like a constant standard rotation.

Every card is dirt cheap unless part of the current meta deck, then they super duper expensive.
Other than of course nostalgia cards from the begginning but even they aren't that expensive compared to...

In mtg you have current standard meta being expensive. But then cards roll into eternal formats. Basically they are cheapest when standard first is done but almost always go up.

Yeah I get that. I remember some cards being $100+ back then. And I would see MTG cards run up that much too

Yea I almost spent $100 on one extra deck monster I needed for my blue eyes deck but I lucky pulled it in a booster the following week.

That's one thing I'm gonna be missing. The thrill of pulling from boosters <__< But if something is $100 it might be worth taking the gamble on boosters

I noticed similar when I re-dabbled with Magic tG. In the Before Time, we had starter packs and booster decks and sometimes traded with friends and dealt with whatever we were given.

Now you can go online and handpick a deck with mostly commons and uncommons and one or two rares for cheaper than a retail starter deck while also being much higher quality.

Yeah I wish I kinda found out about it sooner. I ordered a six samurai deck off Etsy that runs for $35 and it isn't exactly to my specifications lol
