The other campaigns I've seen him be involved in sort of fit this pattern of "big national enviro groups support this person, so I will too," so I'm not exactly shocked, but it is a little surprising. Granted, probably that's not true of Bloomberg right now, but given how he's been ahead of the curve on climate change, I get it.

I guess I'm mostly a little surprised he's being so open about it and also spearheading campaign events and stuff. It's not just passive support, which would surprise me less. I'm sure his personal politics are farther left than Bloomberg, but he was also the state democratic party's executive director for a couple years before leading the Sierra Club so I guess he understand the politics game.
