I used to wake up at 3am, work an 8 hour shift and then needed to be at college for 6 hours at 12pm. I used to grab a Monster after work and drink it in the afternoon. I haven't had one since then though.

Yeah, energy drinks were a somewhat rare thing for me until around the same time I started having to get up at 5:30am for work and my daughter was born and I have to be on my toes with her and she still wakes us up at night more often then not. Now its usually two a day. >_>

I crush a sixer of Monster every time I see Godsmack live. Gotta have extra energy to punch all those 16 year old girls in the face in the mosh pit.

I used to love those, but they wreak havoc on the body... sugar and HFCS just suck in general. It literally kills your liver and causes all sorts of side effects like headaches, muscle cramps and twitching, and more. I hated it and got fed up after enough of it. I went on a low-carb (and eventually keto) diet and switched to the zero calorie drinks after going about half a year with no drinks other than water, tea and coffee. I desperately wanted something sweet and fizzy with none of the consequences of soda and energy drinks.

The Zero Ultra tastes so much lighter and better than both the original and low-carb Monsters, which taste very strong and have that nasty chemical aftertaste. Then I found a brand of zero calorie carbonated drink that has a caffeine version which has less junk ingredients, half the caffeine, and costs much less. And their citrus flavor tastes almost exactly like a Mtn Dew, but without the aspartame and other harmful shit.

I do, but i also buy whatever is more or catches my eye. Bang and reign are pretty good too and have more caffeine.
I usually just mix up Gfuel though since its cheaper per serving.

I work night shift now so i drink it more often then before. Used to only drink that stuff before a weight lifting gym day.

I remember talking to a dentist when I had a root canal, he told me that most people that come in getting that procedure had been energy drink consumers, as they rot your teeth even worse than soda drinks. That said, I've only had monster twice, it was alright, not something I'd actively seek out, especially when I can get Lime Crush where I live.

The only thing with the Zero Ultra is the erythritol (one of the 3 sweeteners) might cause your stomach some small discomfort. It mostly happens to people that are not used to different sweeteners, or people that have low stomach acidity.

If you're relatively healthy and are used to the natural zero sugar sweetener substitutes like erythritol, xylitol, stevia, monkfruit, then you'll be fine.

Nah, never been an energy drink fan that much at all. There was a point when I drank Red Bull for a few months but I got tired of that.

People around my area are all about this Bang Energy drink shit. I don't get it. But then again these people are probably doing more with their time so they need the energy (I guess).

I drank a regular Monster energy once during my break mid 12-hour shift to see if the energy boost helped and noticed no difference so I never drank another one. I don't care for the taste of high caffeine drinks.

The white zero calories one really is the ultimate, albeit boomer, drink. That being said, I love reigns, which are very similar to monsters but have bcaas and some other things in it.

if energy drinks are bad for you then why do so many people drink them daily/weekly since they are 7 and grow up to be fine?

I drink 2-3 cans of the sugar/calorie free ones a day. Every doctor Ive been to (Ive gone to the hospital a lot, but for non-Monster causes) is baffled why Im not overweight or have diabetes by now. When my metabolism gives out Ill stop drinking Monster. Until then Im gonna enjoy it to the fullest :3

This is the one I was talking about that I found that is way better than Monster Zero Ultra, and the specific flavor that tastes almost exactly like a Mtn Dew.

The only sweetener it uses is sucralose, so it doesn't break a fast or spike blood sugars, has 70mg of caffeine (a bit more than a cup of coffee, half of what Monster has) and some B vitamins and green tea extract.

Ingredients list: Carbonated Water, Natural Flavors, Citric Acid, Potassium Benzoate (To Ensure Freshness), Sucralose, Caffeine, Beta Carotene (For Color), Green Tea Extract, Calcium Disodium EDTA (To Protect Flavor), Biotin, Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), Vitamin A, Calcium Pantothenate (Vitamin B5), Vitamin B12, Vitamin D3, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6).

At the store that I go to, you can buy a can for about $1.39, which is cheaper than the Monster's and other drinks like Reign and Bang that are usually $2.49 or higher.

Eh my Monster is generally $2 a can and can go down to $1.25 on sale ($5 for the 4 pack during Safeways $5 Fridays), and I live in Hawaii. Also the blind vendor at Honolulu District Court always gives me a discount since I get Monster from him every work day, so sometimes its only $1 :D
