Its an older model but had a good storage size and was $400 for the whole shebang. Considering that the Smart Keyboard is usually about half of that Im feeling pretty good about it overall

I bought a cheap Chromebook because I dont want to lug my 15 main laptop everywhere, but this is both more functional and portable in comparison

The keys are sealed so no crumbs or other bullshit can get underneath and jam them like the MacBook Pros and typing on it is really quiet since theyre fabric

Considering that this 128GB model was $1K when it came out in 2015 and is STILL as good performance-wise as the base model iPads they sell today really shows how futureproof these new Apple devices are trying to be

Anyone else use Chromebooks/tablets as their primary PC thingy?

Primary? No. But I try to spend as much time on my iPad Pro as possible since it's much lighter/easier to carry, quick to turn on, etc. Being an iOS device means it's well supported in enterprise too.

I previously had the 2nd gen Pro with the 12.9" screen but subsequently bought a smaller 3rd gen 11" Pro so it's alot more portable.

The keyboard is great, and like you said, it's sealed, but it definitely isn't as good as a typical mechanical keyboard.

I recently bought a Chromebook for lolz and because my Razer Blade feels too fragile when I take it out randomly to places. So far it's actually been quite refreshing to use such a basic PC.

Hell yeah. Sometimes less is more and if Im not doing anything that requires Mac or Windows then why bother, you know?

iPad OS has come a long way in recent years

I got an iPad Air 2 around when it came out and I still use it today, I used it to take notes I use it for my music I use it to play games often, I'm still usually on my PC most of the time when I'm home but man has that thing been so convenient and nice, I plan on getting an iPad Pro at some point this year to upgrade since my iPad has definitely seen better days

Its crazy how that device is a little over 5 years old now. I remember them releasing it like it was yesterday and at the time people were thinking this is overkill

5 years later and its still about as powerful as the iPads you can buy brand new today
