Kind of, but I understand how it's ended up this way.

Its annoying. Adblock unfortunately isnt advanced enough (yet?) to detect an ad integrated directly into a video.

No, especially not on any of the channels I watch. As it's usually a quick blurb of leas than 5 seconds at the start and potentially a longer bit at the end I can skip.

I don't like them because they tend to also have ads on their videos and a Patreon. I just find it a scummy thing to do. However, it's easy to skip those ones. You can't skip the actual ads, so I just Ad Block them

I don't mind a paid promo but when most of the video consists of two ads ahead of time, one in the middle, a lengthy "channel update" about going on vacation next week or adjusting the length of videos, a full minute of "like comment subscribe ring the bell tell your friends do a backflip", a thank you to patreon people and a plead for money on pateron AND there's a paid promo, it makes me want to not watch this channel anymore. --- 53 LIII 0b110101 p16 0x35 ...
