I did see one about some spirit that possessed teenagers through social media. It was if a movie was based on Facebook and the Ring.

Ok wtf @ this movie, she is customizing this device and she hears a voice that sounds like her dead mom she she goes ahead and calls it "mother" and has it read a bedtime story to her who the fuck would do that.

Her best friend has been performing acts on all of her boyfriends to get back at her for being rich I guess?

And then she smothered her with a pillow and beat her brains out. Was very visceral.

Actually this whole thing is kind of fun if you just treat the Siri knock-off device (it's its own device apparently) as an imagined manifestation of her broken psyche.

Yeah, I think that's how it's supposed to be watched. There's no commentary about the dangers of technology here, and they never explain who made this product or why it caused her to kill, and the ending is ridiculously stupid, so it *has* to be that it's just all in her head and it's 2019 so a cellphone is an easy way to represent that.
