The impact the president has over the country's economy compared to other factors is incredibly minimal.

The President doesn't impact the economy. I don't know who created this delusion. Political rhetoric.
We are in the middle of the "big tech" / "data science" bubble. Hell we could be in the middle of multiple bubbles right now, fucking look at house prices, or the absurd amount of subscriptions most people have, and tell me if that's normal.

People hypothesize we are in at least two tech related bubbles right now:

Wouldn't be surprised if there's another housing bubble too.

Apparently I've been out of the loop because all I've heard for years is that the economy has been total shit since oil was annihilated in 2014.

It certainly has been in Alberta. If the US is doing well, good for them. I'm not sure which industries are succeeding though.

Some don't consider the '00s' or whatever the 'Next' decade/century/millennium etc...many think the next actual decade, in this case for example, will start 2021, not 2020.

This.

As much as people hate to hear this, the guy in the Oval Office isn't the main factor when it comes to economy these days. It isn't even government in general, no matter which party controls Congress.

Globalization has introduced a lot of factors that are completely beyond our control as a nation that have a massive effect on our economy, in ways that we can't necessarily mitigate or counter regardless of what policy we pursue internally.
