Everything is controlled by their hands.

The energy projects from their hands. They guide telekinesis by waving their hands around all dramatically...mimicking what they are doing with the objects they are controlling. Magneto has to move his hands around all the time. Professor X HAS to put his damn fingers to his temple when he uses his power (it makes me cringe every fucking time). Spider-Man shoots webs out of his wrists.

It's just so corny. I am so tired of it.

I understand that our hands are what makes humanity so cool and unique........but damn. I'm just so tired of watching these movies where everything needs to be about hand movements.

Would these superheroes suddenly lose all their powers if they had their hands amputated?

I just want to see a fight that isn't so choreographed with dramatic dance-like hand movements and kung-fu.

Give me something raw and animal and wild and unlike anything we've ever seen before. Where you can't even tell who is doing what attack because there's energy shredding everything from all sides. A true magical battle.

Even wizards do their fucking hand dancing with their wands and shit.

Trying to make it look like some kind of ballet of wrist movements and stupidity.

I just want to see a Wizard or a Mutant or something stand there.....and just grin....and earth spikes burst out from the ground and impale the other dude....all bloody and dead. Victorious wizard just walks away.

But no. You'll have two wizards fight and they gotta wave their arms all around, gather energy into their hands, charge up an attack, you see it coming from a mile away....they shoot two energy beams at each other and just groan and scream while they push the energy against each other and wait to see who is stronger and pushes through the other's attack....

Certain ones (magneto immediately comes to mind) only uses gesticulation out of habit or to help guide the objects being moved. He doesn't need to do it at all, nor do many others

Spider man uses wrist-mounted web shooters because he can't make webbing on his own (only during Sam Rami's movies) and where else can he shoot it from?

Youd probably like this dude from fullmetal alchemist. Sure everyone else uses their hands for their alchemy but not this guy and thats what made it look bad ass. The others are fighting him and having to use their hands and hes just standing there while he makes shit happrn without movement.

Like the audience isn't smart enough to know who is doing what attack.

You gotta admit, the whole thing with "two characters shooting a beam at each other and waiting to see whose power overwhelms who first" is probably the worst thing in cinema.

It happens in so many films.

I liked that about Doctor Strange. Obviously they still used their hands to direct their magic, but all of the Dark Dimension stuff made for some really interesting fight choreography because they were fighting with more than just what was obviously coming from their hands.

Here's the thing... People use their hands for stuff. It's not "corny" to use hands, it's just how people operate. If powers aren't coordinated with hands, there isn't a clear indicator that x power is from x person.

It's pointlessly incoherent.
