Its fun, but also cursed. Anyone that plays it will have a great time but have to take a BM immediately after the next time they shower.

I love it. Mario can do some nutty far/high jumps when he combines his moves. His movement here feels the best out of all the 3D Mario games.

Yes, it's excellent. It's not overly challenging, for the most part, and lots of people take issue with how frequently and easily the game throws moons at you, but it's got incredibly tight controls and movement options that just feel great to execute, and is fantastic at rewarding the player for aimlessly exploring (even if it's just with a pile of coins). It's one of those rare games that just made me smile from start to finish because I was having a genuinely fun time the whole way through.

In addition to what's been said above, it's one of few games that I enjoy watching speedruns of, because it's just fun to watch.

Overall I thought it was pretty good.
A couple gripes that I had with it were that
1) The sheer number of moons to collect quickly kills any impact or satisfaction you would hope to experience when you collect them (or at least it did for me).
2) The difficulty didnt scale very well, and so the things youre required to do either seem like theyre very easy or absurdly difficult with no middle ground (I blew through 90% of the moons with little effort, and then my progress stopped dead because everything I hadnt done required a jarring amount of skill and dedication, which the prior moons unfortunately didnt really help me to develop since they were so simple in comparison).
Despite the fact that Ive just listed negatives so far, it plays well and gives you plenty to do, so youll probably like it if you like the other 3D Mario games or collectathons.

It was alright. It lacked a focus. The game felt like a huge tech demo.

It was good for a weekend, but it didn't seem to have enough potential for me to play much longer than that.

Also it was too hard to play in mobile mode to me, I couldn't see the stuff well enough.

Those two things had me return the switch I bought near launch, and resell the game (for about what I paid for it due to my Best Buy discount at the time).

I didn't finish all the post game content though, but I did finish the game and some of it, and I just wasn't really that interested in getting all the stars etc at that point, at least, I wasn't like $500 worth of interested lol.

Since there still has not been a game that I really wanted come out on the switch at this point, I have not rebought the system and it's looking like I'll just skip the generation all together. I still havn't even played the new Zelda on my Wii U (I own it, I played a few hours, but that is it).

Honestly Nintendo needs to get back into the RPG game if they really want me back. A new super mario RPG, or a paper mario, or any of the old good nintendo RPGs getting a revamped updated version would work, but at this point it probably isn't gonna happen.

Guess I'm the first no in the poll. It felt like a game for small children tbqh. Rewarding me for very minor tasks. I heard there was hard content but I beat the game and never had a challenge. I need something to get the blood flowing you know? Or a creative outlet. It delivered neither. But platformers are one of my least favorite genres so there is that bias. I did love Sunshine and the Galaxies though.

Odyssey was just ok for me. It's not bad. Obviously it's very polished.

Why is The Last Jedi an option?

The Odyssey is much better than TLJ that's for sure.
