I dont get these guys. These are the same dudes who wanted JJ to make the movies in their Plinkett prequel reviews and they hated the prequels because they werent the OT.

Disney gives them EXACTLY what they wanted, a bunch of fan service BS, and they dislike it??

Hate to say it, but people like this are why people hate Star Wars fans.

I am assuming they are saying it sucks for the same reasons as everyone else?

Gonna list my dislikes of the film before watching their review. Some die-hard apologists here say that people critical of the films just parrot RLMs criticisms.

1. Scenes like the one where Chewie seemingly died but immediately being revealed to still be alive in the next scene. Oh it must have just been another unseen transport ship. C3PO getting his memory wiped, oh R2 just restores his memory to right before he left on that mission. Its like one writer tried to focus on the sacrifices & drama but the other writer undermined it with the next scenes. Like why even bother. Just have the memory be kept, have Chewie just taken away, & Rey surprisingly shoots Ben with electricity knocking him down.
2. Snoke relegated to being an extension of Palpatine instead of having been a separate character.
3. The Knights of Ren appearing as if they were there all along. I need to watch it again, maybe theres a line where Kylo welcomes them back from vacation or a long mission.
4. Rey being literally related to a major previous character. But I do like that Rey chose her family/identity at the end by taking up the name Skywalker.
5. The several McGuffins. Just pick one.
6. Palpatines several changes in plans at the end. Kill Rey, Kill Rey, Kill Rey! Actually Rey Kill Me, Kill Me, Kill Me! Become a human vessel for the Sith. Actually Ben is here to join you now, and both of you are some sort of duality equals in the force, Ill drain your life forces to restore myself instead! UNLIMITED POWA!!! And this is while the movie is cutting back and forth to the chaotic battle above and those characters having to improvise with several changes to their plans.

Its like The Last Jedi was a bit slow and so for Rise of Skywalker they just throw a bunch of stuff out there.

I did like the film though and think its better than The Last Jedi. By how much I dunno.

They said hes great as a director but not really at writing scripts. They brought up Spielberg as an example of an excellent director who didnt write his own scripts. And I think hes like Abrams biggest inspiration.

Also they wanted JJ as the director because he's good at emotional character stuff and fast paced action, but not writing the actual plot.

Hes not really even good at that, though. In TFA when Han got axed, I felt nothing. This is the same dude who forgot to have Chewie acknowledge Leia after Han died.

Same with the way leia went out.

Complaints were spot on with my thoughts after seeing the movie. I don't know about this version of Palpatine being good though. He was more toned down and less campy than any of his previous iterations in the PT/OT and therefore wasn't as interesting to watch this time around.

And they also blame them for the prequel hate when there was plenty of criticism of them back then. Mike/Plinket just put in all the usual complaints by everybody in a nice cohesive form in a video with some of his own opinions plus all the technical film stuff.

Palpatine said that he has died many times...but he has cloning technology, and when the Resistance receives the surrender or die message from him they speculate that hes alive through cloning. And he says that the Sith live through him and wants Rey to become the new vessel.

So when he says that hes died many times before, does he actually mean clones of himself? Is the Palpatine in that Sith temple the real Palpatine & ancient?

Is the main villain of the prequel & original trilogies just another clone, a puppet creation like Snoke? Like wtf that would be so ****ing lame. And it would completely throw out that whole thing about Anakin being the chosen one to destroy the Sith and bring balance to the force. I mean, I guess it was already thrown out with a Palpatine still be alive....

i like rlm but im probably going to avoid their videos for a few months. i dont give a shit about whether star wars are good or bad but with the last one they beat that dead horse so hard for awhile that there was nothing left but a bloody crater in the ground. i am fully expecting them to do it all over again

It wouldn't matter which body he's using. It's still him. It's not like each clone is independent.

In the old EU, he had died even before RotJ. I think his original body was lost long ago.
