Yeah, we become Crimson Heads and Lickers but all the other species infected don't lose agility and arthropods and amphibians turn giant.

They're not zombies in the sense of mythical dead rising from the grave.

The T virus causes necrosis in the frontal lobe and skin, loss of motor skills, aggression, and the constant need for the body to feed. They appear to be zombie like because their brains are destroyed by the virus.

Infected would be a more proper term

To be fair, it could just be your classic sewer alligator, otherwise I'd include it

The virus mutates them to the point they aren't physiologically human anymore, so I'm not sure if just calling them infected is correct. They are almost a new creature genetically.

A normal human can't survive the bodily trauma that a zombie endures, like getting ripped in half or getting shot in the lungs or heart.

I mean, there are humans in real life who have survived those.

Wait, thats something Ive always wondered about the RE zombies. Is it just a gross mutation that makes them seem like stereotypical zombies, or are they like killed then controlled by the virus or what?

The zombie dogs you see are the doge equivalent of crimson heads. The regular zombie doges just never get to you because they're crawling somewhere in a cage
