It is a mental illness thing for sure but I always figured video games were kind of exempt from that... since NEETs and etc are usually depressed but a lot still manage to game

Yeah. I try to just spend more time with family and friends until it comes back. The hard part is I also lost interest in watching shows and movies alone lately. Now, that's new to this year. Good thing my enjoyment in music is as strong as ever. Not only that, but I like fun music now that gets me hype. Instead of just listening to chill stuff that encourages lonely moods, like I use to

I've never gotten it, I do move genres around a lot, so that probably helps.

It happens to me when I have a huge backlog of games I want to play. I sit down and play each one for like 20 minutes then get pissed that I can't just focus on one and quit playing altogether.

Or like if I'm playing a game like Assassin's Creed I'll get into it, get lost trying to do all the side content, and then never returning to the game.

This is a big problem for me these days. I have turned off a couple of massive open-world games right at the point where the world opens up because I just don't even want to start.

Mostly I just don't want to spend that much time on something with so little return these days though.

I find it easy to burnout on video games if you dont have a comfy place to play them, for exmple i havent really had my own bed fro almost 2 years now so gaming consoles and mobile have really dropped for me

Dont have a choice but to stick to PC
