Poised to sign the budget bill to give federal employees paid time off when they have a kid. I don't like Trump, but glad he and Congress at least are doing this. All of America needs this, though.

Then again, you had Ronald "act as little as possible to treat HIV/AIDS patients while me and my buddies rob the country" Reagan in the 80's, and in a mere 30 years the repubs have voted in another celebrity moron with mush for brains. So for all we know, Trump's time in office hasn't even lowered the bar all that much - they'll just pick an even worse candidate next time. In the 2040's, they'll vote in one of the Paul brothers or Joey Salads, and shit will somehow be much worse than before.

Theres literally a South Park episode that aired right after his election that was poking fun at doomsdayers on both sides. Obviously, a lot of its hyperbole, but its still based in truth.

a somewhat saving grace of Trump is he isn't all that bright nor interested in much of the government he is tasked to be over so his lack of interest in much of the federal bureaucracy means that he largely leaves much of the lower rungs alone who actually keeps the trains running.
