I went to Rite Aid and CVS, and I guess its $40 unless I go to my provider's clinics. And all of them close before I get off of work, and I'd have to travel like an hour and a half to get to one that's open on the weekend. Smh

If you happen to get the flu your body fighting it will create antibodies which will serve you better in the long run

Take a sick day. It's medically related. My insurance is pretty good, I guess. I got mine at CVS for free. Usually I go to the doctor though and get it along with whatever checkup I'm getting..

Yeah I'll probably do that, taking a few days off for the holidays next week anyway. I would get it during a checkup but I dont get those anymore since it cost me like $250 last time >_>

I got mine this year. Walgreen's told me I wasn't covered, but it ended up that my insurance was having problems with pharmacies putting in an incorrect code.

Once they got the right code i was covered

True! I was under the impression that having your body create these antibodies was somehow better than just having them introduced via vaccine. I definitely could be wrong dont quote me ladies and gentlemen

When I went to CVS the first thing they checked was how much was I going to have to pay. Priorities right? American healthcare - if you can afford it.

Anyway once it was established my shot would be free, I had to sign like 3 pages of waiver/disclaimer shit. I realize Californians can be litigious but still that seemed excessive.

Well in the particular case of the flu shot, it all depends on which particular strain of flu is going around. If our vaccine isn't much of a match to the circulating strand, the antibodies from the shot won't do much.

When I worked for the government they did that too. Think of it this way, if the shots are on company time, they are practically paying you to get it. You can also play the "Gatdamn, my arm is sore" card the rest of the day and maybe the next to minimize your workload.
