Nope. Ive taken care of people for 16 hours before. Not easy but after the 12th hour it all becomes a blur.

When I started at the hospital I was on day shift, then I went to night shift.

Before I fully went to night shift I had to work a mix of the 2 because we were short staffed.

One weekend I worked 3:00am-7pm on a Friday and had to come in and work 7pm-7am on Saturday night

That sucks. Had to work 13 hr shifts as a lifeguard, and once worked a 15-hr at a dog food factory. Work culture sucks.

Worked a 25 hour shift earlier this year with driving approx 4 of it and the rest was merchandising. Wasn't fun yo.

I do 16 hour shifts 1-3x a week depending on availability. OT is addicting to me.

I just drink a decent amount of coffee

My longest shift was a 27 hour one. It wasn't TOO bad because I got to sleep for about 4 of those hours but at about 2 AM we started getting nearly back-to-back wrecks and old people's falling in the floor. I got a bit of a break at some point in the afternoon but started trying to leave once my 24 hours were up but then we had to go help a guy who broke his leg in the mountains which took like 3 hours. Lol long shifts suck. I'm glad I don't do that sorta thing anymore and am a lazy shit now...

I'm on the last 2 hours of a 22 hour shift, no breaks whatsoever, barely had time to eat a sandwich. Only have, at most, 4 hours between shifts so I've been sleeping under my desk. Haven't been home since Saturday, my one day off, almost entirely spent sleeping.
I've been doing this for three weeks now, and will be doing it until Jan 2nd.
It's illegal as fuck, but no one cares. Done it for the past 5 years and I'll be doing it again next year.

Hate to be that guy, but cry me a fucking river.

Longest I've worked straight was when I was in the field and some dumbass decided to jump an M270 tank over a burm in which the TC had to go to the ER after splitting his forehead open.I was vehicle recover and was up 38hours before 1st Sergeant found out and sent me to the barracks for bed rest. They also blew a piston that shot out the side of the engine...Never slept so good in my life after tha th hot shower.

That said I'm very impressed by yours and TCs story.Im a lazy fuck when I can now.

I once worked an 18 hour shift as a Sup in a large, high volume inbound ecommerce call center on a Cyber Monday. By hour 14 I was appallingly angry and irritable, by 18 I could barely walk to my car.
