It wasn't TOO bad because I got to sleep for about 4 of those hours but at about 2 AM we started getting nearly back-to-back wrecks and old people's falling in the floor. I got a bit of a break at some point in the afternoon but started trying to leave once my 24 hours were up but then we had to go help a guy who broke his leg in the mountains which took like 3 hours. Lol long shifts suck. I'm glad I don't do that sorta thing anymore and am a lazy shit now...Longest I've worked straight was when I was in the field and some dumbass decided to jump an M270 tank over a burm in which the TC had to go to the ER after splitting his forehead open.I was vehicle recover and was up 38hours before 1st Sergeant found out and sent me to the barracks for bed rest. They also blew a piston that shot out the side of the engine...Never slept so good in my life after tha th hot shower. That said I'm very impressed by yours and TCs story.Im a lazy fuck when I can now. --- I'm surrounded ... Copied to Clipboard! |
