It was awkwardly choreographed and the opposite of exciting. When you crank up the music for a battle, it had better be something amazing. Like...look at the moment from Infinity War when Thanos plows through Captain America, Black Panther, Scarlet Witch, War Machine, etc. It's a huge moment and the music is booming above the action. You feel the emotion of dread and inevitability; it's the music of Thanos' unstoppable march. When Iron Man blasts AC/DC, he makes a big entrance and does something flashy. When the ~~Portal song from Endgame plays and everybody makes their grand return~~, that's the stuff of legends. When Captain Marvel cranks up the tunes, she awkwardly throws a few punches, fires some wavy hand beams, gets thrown around, and generally just sort of...isn't impressive or particularly inspiring. It's just a weird fight scene that feels more like a "hero learning her powers" scuffle from the second act rather than a climactic battle. --- I write Naruto Fanfiction. Which is great, because SLJ looked and acted like he was in the 90s no sweat.
