Regardless of how that person lived their life?

So Ive just read an article of how a poacher was eaten by lions. Now I feel joy in knowing that someone who kills endangered animals can do so no longer.

But if I were to read a story where a farmer was trampled to death by a cow intended for slaughter, Id feel sad.

Hypocritical perhaps?

All men have an emotion to kill; when they strongly dislike some one they involuntarily wish he was dead. I have never killed any one, but I have read some obituary notices with great satisfaction. - Clarence Darrow
