A planet that's the opposite of its neighbor the nice planet. Like what grand purpose does a fire pit planet even serve in the long run?

To scare the new gods into behaving and eating their heaven broccoli? Which I never was a fan of personally, analogy aside. Using fear to incite people to do good, Not a good motivation/incentive.

Ohhh. Here I thought the anti-life equation meant an instant death equation.

Anti-Life is a mathematical proof that life is pointless. It's also a supernatural force that is fundamentally the evil counterpart of source. Once you've been subjected to Anti-Life, you become catatonic or commit suicide.

Darkseid wants to alter the mathematical proof of Anti-Life so that instead of life being pointless it becomes the only purpose of life is to serve Darkseid. Despite the power of Omega, because Anti-Life is it's own discreet force similar to Source, he can't just do it.

It's spelled out pretty thoroughly in Seven Soldiers: Mister Miracle, and then Darkseid uses it against earth in Final Crisis.

It was Mr. Miracle.

Basically both Darkseid's real son and adopted son both grew up hating him. The exchange was supposed to be an arrangement for peace I guess thinking that Apokalips wouldn't attack New Genesis if Darkseid's son was there but lol that didn't work.

Holy shit! Just googled that to be sure. All this time I thought it was kalibak and was under that assumption when watching superman tas as a kid.

Did they ever explain that in the show? That it was Mr Miracle? I know he was in Justice League Unlimited but did the animated series ever clarify who the unnamed son was?

My memory is pretty shitty but IIRC they never named him on the show.

loneliness + alienation + fear + despair + self-worth mockery condemnation misunderstanding guilt shame failure judgment n=y where y=hope and n=folly, love=lies, life=death, self=dark side

What I don't understand is how you apply it. Like what does knowing what this long string of depressing things actually allow you to do in-universe? Is it showing you the path to how to create a dystopia (by following this as if it were a logical evaluation) or does it have some sort of direct application?

It's not mind control. They're voluntarily doing it because anti-life has shown them the truth they can't deny.
