It just sucks that millions of people are totally wrong when it comes to how they want to be governed.

itd be much better if there was no vote and the govt could just do what they want

There was never a way for Labour to appeal to both remain and leave voters in a meaningful way (Well, they did actually have a bunch of great policy proposals but that tenses to get lost in the nonsense a bit) and they suffered because of it. And yet most of the Sensible Centrist types would have you believe they should've weighed in fully behind a remain position, despite the stark losses in Northern England showing this to be a flawed premise.

Racial attacks have increased, attacks on disabled people have increased. It's all down to the tory policy of austerity and their friends in the media. Not to mention that with brexit going full steam ahead we're looking at serious medication shortages and the gutting of the National Health Service to sell to American interests.

Yup. And with the poor handling of the NHS going to get worse for those suffering who are going to need healthcare more often. It's just a shitshow for anyone pretty much everyone not at the top of the "wealth chain" and yet the people suffering most will continue to vote for them and then wonder why their life gets worse.

yeah I don't know that it actually proves that, though... seats aren't apportioned based on national results, so coming in 2nd in a bunch of constituencies is a lot less meaningful than it would be otherwise
