I've been playing it consistently for like 2 years; it's more fun with friends and has steadily gotten worse over time

I'd still recommend it tho, especially if the idea of basically playing Hide-and-Seek/Tag in a virtual world sounds fun

There's good and bad things.

It can be extremely fun playing as both survivor and killer. Playing killer and outsmarting survivors is a lot of fun, and likewise playing survivor can be legitimately tense as you try to run & hide. I say can be extremely fun, because you will run into some toxicity, normally coming from the survivor side. Survivor mains, IMO, act entitled and expect the killer to play a certain way that makes it more fun to play as a survivor. If a survivor player is particularly good at running a killer around (looping), you'll probably have to deal with them constantly tea bagging, taunting, and rapidly clicking the flashlight off and on to be annoying. As a killer, if you do anything deemed to be "unfair", expect to hear about it via hate mail. But oh lord, if you let that survivor loop you, expect to get "gg-ez" mail.

My advice: If you're going to play, try to find another person or 2 to play with. Of course, playing killer is a solo venture, but DO NOT let someone else dictate how you play the game. If someone sends you hate mail, just laugh and move on. They'll try to tell you that because you didn't let a good survivor loop you for 80% of the match, that you weren't playing fair or were "tunneling" other players. They'll tell you that because they decided to hook swarm and save a fellow survivor before you had even left the area; that you were "camping", and thus also playing unfairly.

As far as bugs, you run into one every now and again, normally after a big patch something will break, but for all the shit the dev team gets they are normally pretty quick with fixing them.

There's a pretty big bug live currently that they didn't fix with the hotfix they put out earlier today. Survivor items add-ons that increase the amount of charges the items have still don't work.

I have a perfect example.

So I was doing a challenge from the Rift (Run NOED and get 2 sacrifices during EGC) while playing the new killer Oni. I faced a team of people who were pretty bad so I decided I was going to wait for them to finish the generators after putting everyone on their death hook so I could finish the challenge.

Well this made them livid. And they d/ced over it denying me of the challenge.
