I did like Night Angel, although the villains were kinda cartoony and on occasion it would try a little too hard to be edgy. Overall solid series. It does seem to be a conscious thing at least, since Jasnah called her out on that very thing. I enjoyed her story a lot more in WoR but then in OB, I don't know. I do get part of it is mental illness for sure, but then it also feels like a big portion of what was going on was magical in nature and it just felt very extreme. At times I really loved it, and at other times I struggled. I personally did not enjoy the combat but I know it's supposed to be a highlight. I had also heard that book 5 was mostly all action and I personally didnt care for the battle scenes much. --- I am the Cheese! I am the best character on the show!
