My body is getting older (35) and has been heading towards dad-bod mode for the past decade. I really want to get in better shape as far as cardio and nutrition.

I think I'll make a topic on the first day of January chronicling my fitness adventures.

I'm with you. I've been putting on weight gradually since I left high school, and it's really culminated this year. I need to drop some kilos.

Next year I'm cutting out alcohol, soda and chocolate, and I'm permitting myself one night of fast food a week, maximum. Balanced with daily exercise and regular hydration.

I find that portion control is the most important.
If you want big portions, eat protein and make sure you work out

GJ Joe. That's solid, sustainable weight loss that you can actually maintain.

I'm in this base. 33 and it's getting damn easy to slide into "dad bod" mode if you're not careful. I exercise plenty but diet has been lacking for a while.

This.

It's all a lifestyle change. It's not one big thing, but a bunch of little ones.

Eat better food. Eat less sugar and junk. Do some exercise. Get rid of stress. Get quality sleep. Learn about nutrition and reading ingredient labels. Supplement vitamins and minerals that you're lacking.

we have learned the more we walk, we can eat the same and not gain.
though pokemon go has given my stamina a huge boost from all the walking.

used to get tired after an hour with the dog. no longer facing that issue.

Im 33, a dad with a newborn, work 5 days a week, and take care of the house.

Im still in shape because I find 5 days a week to workout+ eat healthy.

Just cut out the junk food, limit your calories, and spend 30 mins a day exercising and youll be surprised how much youll drop.
